Understanding Usage Limits

Each plan comes with specific limits on resources. Understanding these helps you choose the right plan and monitor your consumption:

Monthly Tokens

Tokens are consumed by various AI-powered operations within ML Clever, such as model processing, AI component generation, or specific API calls. Your token balance resets at the beginning of each billing cycle.

Dashboards

This is the total number of dashboards you can create and maintain in your account. Each distinct dashboard counts towards this limit.

Storage (GB)

This limit applies to the total size of data you upload and store within ML Clever datasets. It does not typically include metadata or system files.

Max Upload Size (MB)

This is the maximum size allowed for a single file upload when creating or updating datasets.

AI Components per Page

This limits the number of AI-driven components (e.g., auto-generated charts, insights) you can place on a single dashboard page.

AI Pages per Dashboard

This defines the maximum number of separate pages containing AI components allowed within a single dashboard.

Viewing Your Current Usage

You can check your resource consumption relative to your plan limits directly within the ML Clever platform. Navigate to the Account -> Pricing / Subscription section (or similarly named page) in your application sidebar.

Here, you will typically find usage meters for:

Current Plan: Shows your active tier.
Dashboards Used: Your current count vs. your plan's limit (e.g., 25 / 150).
Storage Used: Your current storage consumption vs. your plan's limit (e.g., 8.5 GB / 20 GB).
Tokens Used/Remaining: Your token usage for the current cycle.

Refer to the Billing Overview page for information on managing your plan (upgrading, downgrading, canceling) and updating payment details via the Stripe portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Behavior depends on the limit. For storage or dashboards, you may be prevented from creating new ones until you upgrade or reduce usage. For tokens, AI features might become unavailable until the next cycle or until you upgrade. We typically notify you via email and/or in-app messages as you approach limits. Consistent overages may require upgrading to a higher tier.
How are tokens counted?
Token consumption varies based on the complexity and type of AI operation performed. Generating complex visualizations or running detailed analyses might consume more tokens than simpler tasks. Specific token costs per operation may be detailed elsewhere in the documentation or indicated within the application interface when performing actions. Your total usage is tracked against your monthly allowance.
Do unused tokens roll over to the next month?
Typically, monthly token allowances do not roll over. Your token balance resets to your plan's allocated amount at the beginning of each billing cycle. Check your specific plan details if unsure.
